What should I Expect?

Performed under general anasthesia, the procedure usually takes between 30 to 45 minutes; however, the patient will remain at our office for a few hours after surgery for monitoring

When is the Right Time?

• Experiencing seven or more throat infections in one year
  
• Experiencing problems breathing
• Growth has begun to form on the tonsils

Tonsils are a mass of tissue located on either side of the back of the throat.

Severe infections may require removal of tonsils. The main reason a tonsillectomy is recommended is when the tonsils become so swollen that they begin to block the airways, making it hard to breathe.
